Never Too Old to Learn
As a photographer you should never think you know it all or stop learning from others. This week I travelled down to the Birnam Hotel in Dunkeld to join the great photographer and trainer, John Denton, at the end of his tour of the UK and Ireland covering the use of ambient light. With only 3 other photographers on the one day seminar organised by The Societies, we were able to capture some stunning images of the delightful model Nikki both around the hotel and in Beatrix Potter garden. We were shooting in direct sunlight which I normally avoid.
The following day I and other photographers from across Scotland travelled to the Mercure Barony Castle Hotel near Peebles in the Borders for The Societies Mini-Convention. It was great to see some old friends like Catherine Connor from Aspire Photographic Training and Trevor & Faye Yerbury.
A tiring week with much driving but well worth it.
